Cape Town - It
appears Marty Banks is set to remain in New Zealand after it was
confirmed he has been training with the Highlanders in Super Rugby pre-season.
Banks, who signed a deal with PRO12 side Treviso last year that was set to commence following the Mitre 10 Cup, didn't arrive in Italy.
And according to the Otago Daily Times, he's been seen at training with the Dunedin-based franchise, who are currently without flyhalf Hayden Parker due to injury.
Parker could require surgery on his knee which would leave the Highlanders needing back-up for Lima Sopoaga.
Banks, 27, played for the Highlanders in Super Rugby 2015 and 2016.
