Visser earns start for Bulls

Cape Town -  Utility back Jürgen Visser will start on the wing for the Vodacom Bulls in their Super Rugby clash against the Crusaders in Christchurch on Saturday.

Visser, whose Vodacom Super Rugby debut came off the bench last weekend in the win against the Blues, replaces Lionel Mapoe on the left wing. Mapoe picked up a shoulder injury in that match.

The rest of the side remains unchanged, but Visser’s spot on the bench will be taken by Jan Serfontein.

“We got the momentum we wanted on tour with the good win against the Blues,” coach Frans Ludeke said.

“By naming the same side bar the injury, we hope to continue the way we finished against the Blues. We will need a good performance against a very good side.”

Captain Pierre Spies was happy that they are on the front foot.

“We started the tour we wanted and now need to make it work for us. We came close here in the past and now must try and get that rare win in Christchurch.”
