Taute to face Blue Bulls

Cape Town - Utility back Jaco Taute will play another Vodacom Cup match for Western Province before being considered for the Stormers.

The Springbok, who can operate at fullback or centre, recently made his return to the playing field following a knee injury.

He made his return to action for WP against SWD in the Vodacom Cup a few weeks ago, before playing 70 minutes in their 47-22 quarter-final win over the Leopards last weekend.

WP host the Blue Bulls in the semi-finals at Newlands this coming Saturday and Taute will be given another go before he comes into consideration for the Super Rugby side.

The game will be the curtain-raiser for the Stormers’ clash against the Rebels.

Stormers coach Allister Coetzee on Monday confirmed that he’d consider Taute for the Cape side’s game against the Cheetahs at Newlands on May 30.
