It is still unsure if the 29-year-old will further his career abroad or retire from rugby to go farming in the Eastern Cape.

Stegmann has represented the Bulls at senior level since 2007 and also played six Tests for the Springboks between 2010 and 2011.

Stegmann is currently injured and will not feature for the Bulls in their final Suepr Rugby game of the season against the Cheetahs in Pretoria on Saturday (17:05 kick-off).

He is expected to play in this year's Currie Cup, which will be his final hurrah in Bulls colours.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...
