Six Super debutants for Lions

Johannesburg - Lions coach Johan Ackermann has named his 23-man side to face the Cheetahs in the opening Super Rugby clash in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

According to the Lions' official website, their starting XV includes six Super Rugby debutants in Chrysander Botha (fullback), Marnitz Boshoff (flyhalf), Franco Mostert (lock), Julian Redelinghuys (prop), Robbie Coetzee (hooker) and Schalk van der Merwe (prop).

Flank Warren Whiteley will captain the side.

The match will kick off at 17:05.
