Cape Town - Promising Sharks prop Thomas du Toit will leave the Durbanites after this weekend’s Super Rugby game against the Bulls to join up with the SA Under-20 squad.

The Baby Boks are currently in Stellenbosch busy preparing for the World Rugby Under-20 Championship in Italy in June.

Du Toit is on the bench for Saturday’s clash against the Bulls at Kings Park, alongside Lourens Adriaanse, with Dale Chadwick missing out.

Springbok duo Jannie du Plessis and Beast Mtawarira are back as the starting props after being rested last weekend.

Chadwick will come back into the mix when Du Toit leaves to join the Baby Boks.

“Dale will be coming on tour with us and will get his opportunity again,” Sharks Director of Rugby Gary Gold said in a press conference on Thursday. “If we make the playoffs, Thomas will have the opportunity to play another Super Rugby game.”

The Baby Boks tackle the Varsity Cup Dream Team in Stellenbosch on Tuesday  (18:30 kick-off).
