Saracens game excites Smit

Durban - Sharks CEO John Smit is excited by the prospect of them facing Saracens - a club with a strong South African flavour.

Sport24 last week reported that the Sharks will play a warm-up game against Saracens in London on January 25.

Smit on Tuesday said the match would be ideal preparation for a long season in 2014.

"We are very excited to again take our team to the UK and build on the incredible support we get there from our ex-pats and locals alike," said Sharks CEO, John Smit.

"Saracens are a good fit for us as an English club with a strong South African flavour.

"It's always good to learn from other teams and share ideas and we could think of no one better than Saracens."
