SA dominate S15 TV numbers

Cape Town - South Africa dominate Super Rugby TV viewership according to the latest figures released by RepucomSA.

According to the Front Row Grunt blog, all but two of the 20 most viewed matches in this year's Super Rugby tournament to date were hosted in SA - and all but one of those matches included an SA side.

A staggering 13 of the of the 20 most viewed games were SA derbies, with the Bulls v Stormers clash at Loftus Versfeld in early June pulling a combined SuperSport (SA), Fox Sports (Australia) and Sky Sports (New Zealand) audience of over 1 million viewers.

The SA Conference winners, the Stormers, were involved in eight of the top nine most viewed games alone, while New Zealand sides were involved in six of the top 20 most viewed games and Australian sides in just two...
