Cape Town - The Rebels defeated the Waratahs 33-28 in a Super Rugby warm-up match in Albury, New South Wales on Saturday.
The Melbourne side scored three tries in the third quarter to defeat the 'Tahs, who welcomed back flyhalf Kurtley Beale, after his stint last year with the Rebels.
The Rebels had trailed 21-12 at half-time.
The Waratahs start their Super Rugby campaign at home to the Force on February 23, while the Rebels start at home against the Cheetahs on February 28.
