Cape Town - Wallaby and Brumbies loose forward David Pocock has been ruled out of the remainder of  the Vodacom Super Rugby season.

The 45-Test flanker reinjured his reconstructed left knee in the Brumbies' Super Rugby win over the Force in Perth on Saturday.

He's missed much of the last two seasons with knee injuries.

Pocock, who was born in Zimbabwe, joined the Brumbies in 2013 after signing from the Force.

Pocock tweeted: Devastated but trying to keep perspective. So appreciative of all the support I've received. Thank you all
