Cape Town - Kings coach Robbie Kempson believes lock Steven Sykes could add a lot of value as a loan player to any Super Rugby team.
"Steven showed in our three matches against the Cheetahs, Lions and Stormers that he still has it," the caretaker coach told Die Burger's website.
"Especially the game against the Stormers (when the Kings lost 40-7), he stood out. He is definitely a shrewd and hard fellow."
The 29-year-old Sykes played 15 Super Rugby matches for the Kings when they were part of the competition last year. He also played 69 times for the Sharks between 2006 and 2012.
As things currently stand, no team has signed Sykes as a loan player with Super Rugby set to start this weekend.
