Oosthuizen blow for Cheetahs

Cape Town - Springbok prop Coenie Oosthuizen has been ruled out of the Cheetahs' Australasian tour due to a neck injury.

According to the Volksblad website, Oosthuizen underwent a scan in Brisbane on Tuesday and will be sidelined for between six and eight weeks.

He is replaced by Maks van Dyk in the Cheetahs starting team to face the Reds in Brisbane on Friday.

Coach Naka Drotské made three changes and one positional shift from the starting that lost 35-14 to the Rebels last week.

Wing Raymond Rhule has not recovered in time from an ankle injury, while flank Lappies Labuschagné has recovered from an Achilles injury to keep his place.

Rayno Benjamin replaces Cornal Hendricks at right wing, while Hennie Daniller comes in at fullback, with Willie le Roux shifting from fullback to left wing.

Rossouw de Klerk was flown in to replace Oosthuizen and will provide cover on the bench.

Kick-off for Friday's game is at 10:40 (SA time).
