    Both these sides remain unbeaten after the first two rounds and the defending champions have started the season with huge victories over the Sunwolves and then the Rebels, last weekend. The defence of the Chiefs, should provide more resistance, today though.

    The Hurricanes defeated the Chiefs in the semi-final last season. Dane Coles and Beauden Barrett came back last week for the Hurricanes, with good performances. Other players to watch will be Ngani Laumape, Vince Aso and Brad Shields. The main Chiefs players to watch will be Damian McKenzie, James Lowe, Anton Lienert-Brown and Aaron Cruden.

    All Blacks flanker Sam Cane, will make his first appearance of 2017, for the Chiefs, after suffering from an ankle injury. Mitchell Brown will start at blindside flanker, replacing Liam Messam who is being rested. Lienert-Brown will shift to inside centre, while Tim Nanai-Williams will play outside centre.
