Lions to reveal Super squad

Cape Town - The Lions will announce their final 2014 Super Rugby squad at the end of this month.

The union announced on their official Facebook page that the final squad will be named on Thursday, January 30.

The Lions resumed training on Monday following a break over the festive period.

The men from Johannesburg will return to Super Rugby this year after missing out at the expense of the Kings in 2013. They forced their way back in after edging the men from Port Elizabeth in a promotion-relegation series last year.

The Lions will play three warm-up games - against the Leopards (Ellis Park, January 24), Kings (Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, February 1), and Sharks (Ellis Park, February 7), before starting the season-proper against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on February 15.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
