Lions suffer Coetzee blow

Johannesburg - Robbie Coetzee is the only injury concern for the Lions ahead of their Super Rugby clash against the Reds on Saturday, the team's medical staff said in a statement on Monday.

Coetzee picked up a hairline tear to his right medial cruciate ligament (knee) during the Johannesburg side's 39-36 victory over the Blues at Ellis Park over the weekend.

The Lions, however, received good news in the form of Andries Coetzee, Alwyn Hollenbach, Lionel Mapoe and Michael Bondesio, who have all recovered from their respective injuries and will be ready to return to action this weekend.

They quartet will be considered for either the Super Rugby side or the Vodacom Cup team.
