    LIONS TO WIN !!!!!!!!

      Sulaiman - 2012-03-20 15:09

Come Bulls supporters fill the staduim up and support the Stormers.

      Blou-Daan - 2012-03-20 15:27

@Sulaiman 1) Bulls will support the Lions. (Only papsak suipers support the Stormers) 2) Bulls suporters will still be at Loftus after the Reds game.

      Marcel - 2012-03-20 16:44

@blou daan, what will they be doing at the stadium afterwards; probably picking up the bottles they were throwing

  • Chris - 2012-03-20 14:33

  • Jan - 2012-03-20 14:34

Well done Lions! Hoop Loftus neem kennis!!!! Dit is mos nou realistiese pryse!

      Blou-Daan - 2012-03-20 15:30

      heinrich.beukes1 - 2012-03-20 15:32

      Blou-Daan - 2012-03-20 15:41

@Firehawk07 Ek dink jy is doodreg my maat.

  • Dieter - 2012-03-20 14:35

now maybe they can get 1000 spectators @ a Super Rugby game .... Bring the KINGS!!!

      Koos - 2012-03-20 14:38

the kings that lost 93 - 0... those kings....? the superkings in the ipl has a better chance!!!

      heinrich.beukes1 - 2012-03-20 14:39

As jy gelukkig is sal die Kings miskien so 500 spectators he lmga

      npretorius2 - 2012-03-20 15:01

@Firehawk, the kings, even though in a different league draws huge crowds! They still have a long way to go to beat the bigger teams, but for crowd support they're on top with the big boys. The spectators down in PE has alot of spirit.

      heinrich.beukes1 - 2012-03-20 15:05

point taken npretorius I am just so tired of all this politics in sport, I say give the Kings a fair chance but you have to earn it, what do you think will happen if the crusaders play against them, 100-0 maybe what does that say about our quality of rugby, I know the lions have not performed often enough but they don't get thrashed consistently alot of times the margin is below 7

      pettitt.j - 2012-03-20 15:19

Can I point out that: Ellis park seats: 62 567 Loftus seats: 51 762 Newlands seats: 51 900 Kings Park seats: 55 000 Blom seats: 40 911 Nelson Mandela Bay seats: 48 000 So for those who can do maths you will see that Ellis park has atleast 12 000 more seats than the others, in the case of the cheetahs and EP Kings it has almost 20 000 more which is half their capicity. So its easy to say there are empty seats, which I'm not going to deny there are, but one must also put in to perspective that Ellis Park is a big stadium with the majority of the crowd sitting on the west bank so the camera is never on them. From a regular supporter who goes to the matches I can point out that the stadium normally pulls in a crowd of round atleast 18 000-25 000 for the super rugby games. Which would be half full in other stadiums. The fans are out there as the semi-final and final have proved, but a hard 8 years has discouraged most from going out to the game as well as the area it is in. But don't make the mistake of thinking the EP Kings have more supporters than the Lions...South African Rugby needs the Lions more than they need the EP Kings right now.

      heinrich.beukes1 - 2012-03-20 15:24

thanks pettitt for standing up for the Lions, there are not alot of guys these days who do

      coolshoesouthafrica - 2012-03-20 15:37

@ Koos stop being a Koos When did the EP Kings ever lose 93-0? @ Firehawk, the Southern Kings will not be as bad as most of you think. lets see the results before commenting to much. The Lions are good this season but were pretty useless last season. Even the Cheetahs put 50 points past them

      coolshoesouthafrica - 2012-03-20 15:38

      18000-25000, you having a laugh???

      heinrich.beukes1 - 2012-03-20 15:51

      Dieter - 2012-03-20 16:22

The Lions don't even have enough money to pay for Elton's vaseline hairgel @ PEP stores ... time for them to go! all the Lions supporters can become Blue Bull supporters, its close enough! EP Kings on the Rise!!!

      Lion - 2012-03-20 16:31

Swaap!!!

      Lion - 2012-03-20 16:36

En Patrick... Jy is net pleinweg 'n dom idioot.

      Johan - 2012-03-20 16:53

Dieter, the kings will be the laughing Stock of SA Rugby next year, they could not even win the b section of the Currie Cup, not even playing in the A Section. they will play in the Super 15 in 2013, and that will be the only year for them play Super Rugby.

  • Chris - 2012-03-20 14:35

Julle moet die stommers sê groot bekke goed toe maak soos laas keer.Ek is trots op my span en ek gee nie om wat ander mense sê nie my span is die Leeus en dis dit.

      Philip - 2012-03-20 14:45

Lions have NEVER beaten Stormers since the Franchise was formed in 2006!'re speaking about the Currie Cup that meant nothing in a World Cup year...sorry!

      Philip - 2012-03-20 15:34

@BlueRaven...I'm going to the game too but I won't be doing any falling on my face. Stormers will win this one without breaking a sweat.

      Bootman - 2012-03-20 15:54

Blue Raven you're a cheapskate. Why arent you going to Loftus to support you beloved Bulls? Rather going for the cheap tickets.

  • Philip - 2012-03-20 14:35

Not even free tickets will get the stadium full of Lions supporters.

  • Jandré - 2012-03-20 14:37

    Brilliant initiative!!! #publicinterest1st

  • Dirk - 2012-03-20 14:37

    Sien julle by Ellis Park!

  • heinrich.beukes1 - 2012-03-20 14:43

Lol no matter what the Lions do there will always be idiots commenting here, are you jealous perhaps on the cheap prices. Go watch soccer I am sure there is always lots of support

      Philip - 2012-03-20 14:48

What is being said is that if there actually are 50000 Lions supporters in Gauteng, which I doubt, they definitely do not show their support by going to the Stadium...whatever the reason!

      heinrich.beukes1 - 2012-03-20 14:52

Uhmmm phillip perhaps you should go look at the Final of the currie cup. Maybe not 50 000, it doesn't have to be just lions supporters as long as the stadium is full you are missing the whole point here. It could be 20 000 lions and 30 000 stormers. Fact is we want the stadium full!

      Philip - 2012-03-20 14:56

I agree. Nothing better than a packed Ellis Park. No point missed. Its just strange that there always seems to be more of the visiting team's supporters at Ellis Park tan Lions supporters?

      Ian - 2012-03-20 14:58

@ Phillip - there are more Stormers fans than that in Geeps. Stormers will thump them into oblivion and next year there will no Golden Lions anymore, just tears in heaven!!

      heinrich.beukes1 - 2012-03-20 14:59

You see Phillip the problem is the Lions aren't performing consistently as a lions supporter I am the first to admit that. Once in awhile we have a good year. I was at a few games last year and on two occasions the stadium was half full. For the union to keep its players it needs to make money and that is where our problem is we loose good players due to lack of funds.

      Philip - 2012-03-20 15:20

@ Ian...even if they charged Stormers supporters double and Lions supporters half, there would still be more Storers supporters at Ellis Park!

      Lion - 2012-03-20 16:43

Phillip... Idiot. At least we have a stadium. I don't want to see the attendance at your new home of rugby in future. The Streamer supporters are going to pay through their necks. That stadium has huge bills to pay. Maybe you will sing a different tune when you cannot fill 10 000 supporters there. Your average rugby supporter there won't be able the afford it. So think before you puke about the Lions.

  • Kevin - 2012-03-20 15:15

Do you think the Bulls or the Lions will be relegated at the end of the season.?Will Coca cola stadium be the Diet coke stadium if its the Lions

  • PatPion - 2012-03-20 15:35

I can't understand why they haven't done this ages ago. It's the only way to attract more people to the games. Not even a Currie Cup win was good enough to get more people through the gates.

  • Bootman - 2012-03-20 15:55

At least at Newlands we dont have to throw a "buy one get one free" sale to fill our stadium. You would swear the Lions are being sponsored by Edgars.

      Bootman - 2012-03-20 16:32

Raven you need to get your facts straight dude. You clearly dont have a clue.

      Lion - 2012-03-20 16:47

Bootman. Like I told what's his name above "At least we have a stadium. " Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

      Bootman - 2012-03-20 16:49

Raven I have two season tickets on the Craven stand. Last year the cost of those tickets were R1750 each. This year they went up to R2300, so my two tickets cost me yes, they went up a "little"

  • Vernon - 2012-03-20 16:05

All the Lions need are two good locks - to lock the few supporters they have inside the stadium .... Union must either have no faith in the team attracting supporters or really needs any money it can get to stave off possible bankruptcy ..... probably be more Stormers supporters than Lions there to witness the Lions get another beating .... take heart Lions ... at least you got points off bye !!!

      heinrich.beukes1 - 2012-03-20 16:20

Thanks for your contribution, we appreciate it!

      Dieter - 2012-03-20 16:34

no Vernon, they even lost their bye!!

  • Bennie - 2012-03-20 16:24

      Lion - 2012-03-20 17:10

Dieter en WP... Julle twee swape. Wen of verloor ons staan by hulle. Kry julle tissues reg. Julle moet maar 'n borg gaan soek by twin saver of so iemand want vir die volgende twee weke gaan julle baie van daai nodig he. So piss off!!! GO LIONS!!!

  • Bennie - 2012-03-20 16:36

@ Dieter, ek was elke Saterdag met my trui aan 'n getroue ondersteuner! Lions4life!

      WP - 2012-03-20 16:44

@Bennie ,saterdag word julle weer verneder, strekte boetman jy gaan dit nodig kry

      Bennie Theunissen - 2012-03-20 17:07

@WP, ons sal sien boetman. Ons praat Maandag weer grootbek!

      Lion - 2012-03-20 17:16

WP..... GO LIONS... EN DAN... GEE HULLE GAS BULLE!!!!

  • Bennie - 2012-03-20 16:39

  • Dirk - 2012-03-20 16:48

this is awesome, nicely done. Stormers, sharks, cheetas and Bulls should take a leaf from your book.

      heinrich.beukes1 - 2012-03-20 16:51

Instead of the stormers supporters throwing insults they should be happy to watch a good match at a low rate!

  • WP - 2012-03-21 07:29
