Butch starts for Lions

Johannesburg - Butch James has returned to the Lions’ starting line-up for their Vodacom Super Rugby match against the Sharks at Coca-Cola Park after serving his four-week suspension.

James was banned for a dangerous charge against the Brumbies in April. With Jaco Taute out with a shoulder injury, James slots into the No 12 jersey.

There are two other changes in the run-on side from the one that lost 17-11 to the Force last weekend.

Lock Hendrik Roodt is promoted to the second row in place of Ruan Botha, who is on international duty with the Baby Boks, while in the backline, wing Anthonie Volminck is rotated with Michael Killian.

Centre Waylon Murray will start on the bench after a long injury layoff.

No match fixing for you this time on Ellis Park lions!

WTF you talking about.... You were given a rugby lecture when you last visited Ellis Park in the CC final. There was certainly no match fixing involved. Maybe... just maybe your S15 dreams end this weekend with the Lions hey. NEVER write them off!!!

Riaan, the reason you stayed in contention in the Final was because the ref missed a knock-on. The Lions played brilliantly that day, give credit where it is due. As a Lions fan, I was hoping they didn't grab a win tomorrow - in the interest of SA rugby as a whole. Now, I'm not so sure. The Cheetahs could grab their win and that would really screw the Sharks.

4,5,8 or 15 changes wont mind...they will still lose.

Even if they changed the whole team including the coaching staff, the Sharks will still beat you even if they use their Vodacom Cup Team. Sharks to win by 15 and score more than 4 try's

Even though I believe the Lions will loose this weekend against the Sharks, the Sharks will at least have a real game, cause last week ... the Stormers gave them a game for mahala - talk about match fixing to give them a boost to be part of the top logs.
