Commentary by Sport24's Garrin Lambley

21:00 - In next weekend's Round 5 action, the Lions host the Blues at Ellis Park (Saturday, March 15 at 15:00) while the Sharks welcome the Reds to Durban  (Saturday, March 15 at 17:05).

20:59 - The Sharks win 37-23 and pick up a full-house of five points.

The Lions leave empty-handed

20:59 - Frans Steyn adds the conversion as the FULL-TIME whistle sounds

20:58 - Marcel Coetzee emerges with the ball

20:58 - The Sharks score their fourth try - and bonus point with mere seconds on the clock

20:58 - And they've done it!

20:57 - TRY!

20:57 - Commentators and referee Peyper not in agreement about much at present...

20:53 - The Sharks are going in search of their fourth try and subsequent bonus point.

Remember, they picked up a bonus point in injury time against the Bulls in their opening match.

Can they do the same tonight?

20:52 - But it's back to 15 for the Sharks as Kankowski makes a return for the final 5 minutes

20:51 - 14 on 14 at Kings Park as Lions replacement Corne Fourie sees yellow

20:48 - Crowd attendance tonight: 28 158

20:48 - Jaco Peyper you ought to be ashamed!

20:47 - Never heard this before, but apparently the first person to jump for the ball is ok, but the second player to leave his feet needs to ensure he doesn't collide - even if he's going for the ball...

20:46 - Bob Skinstad calls the penalty 'rubbish'!

Bravo Bob!

20:45 - Another rubbish penalty by referee Jaco Peyper who penalised the Lions for a clash between two players

20:45 - 10 minutes to play in Durban

Kankowski will return from the sin-bin with roughly four minutes to play

20:44 - This time it's centre Deon van Rensburg who gets his name on the scoresheet.

Boshoff adds the conversion from just to the right of the posts and the Sharks' lead is slashed to 30-23!

20:43 - Kudos to the Lions who score again!

20:43 - TRY!

20:42 - Sharks big-wigs spotted in the crowd - John Smit, Ian McIntosh and Rudolph Straeuli

20:39 - Boshoff converts Faf de Klerk's try.

The Sharks now lead 30-16 - and my 13-point SuperBru prediction looks a little more promising...

20:39 - Try to the Lions!

And a yellow card for Sharks No 8 Ryan Kankowski for repeated infringements

20:38 - TRY!

20:38 - All happening all of a sudden at Kings Park

20:38 - TWEET

Frans Styen kan n eier skop en baie ver. Lekker Styentjie my tjom. Blessing - Bakkies Botha

20:36 - Mmm, suspicious play by the Sharks sees them turn over the ball on their own tryline

20:34 - No let-up for the Lions as Willem Alberts leaves the field - only to be replaced by Jean Deysel #amazingdepthattheSharks

20:31 - Close call for the Lions who almost score through wing Chrysander Botha.

TMO rules a knock-on. 5m defensive scrum to the Sharks.

20:28 - Jannie du Plessis, now substituted, says the Lions have the best pack of forwards they have faced to date.

20:24 - TWEET

Steyn has bossed this game from 10 in no uncertain terms! Properly impressive ... 30-9 after 54 - Front Row Grunt

20:23 - As the rain starts to fall in Durban, the Lions make some changes.

Jantjies off the very best of them...

20:20 - Steyn adds the conversion and the Sharks move out to a 30-9 lead after 51 minutes

20:19 - Odwa Ndungane scores for the Sharks. It's their third try of the evening.

The Lions not helped by flyhalf Jantjies - who has been poor this evening.

20:19 - TRY!

20:18 - Silly - and simple - errors from the Lions.

Those who tune in to Sport24's Monday Super Rugby reviews and Thursday previews will know that I predicted that for all the Lions' early season endeavour (winning their first two matches), they will still lose more matches than they win this year...

20:17 - Steyn clears from well behind his own tryline, setting up another lineout.

But the Lions this time knock on!

20:17 - But the Lions lose the lineout. Groan.

20:15 - High tackle by Sharks flank Willem Alberts sees the Lions awarded a penalty which Elton Jantjies puts into touch 5m from the Sharks' tryline

20:14 - Fairly low-key start to the second half.

Humidity playing a role for sure.

20:09 - AND WE'RE BACK UNDER WAY IN DURBAN

19:55 - The Sharks lead 23-9

Join us in 15 minutes for the second stanza!

19:55 - HALF-TIME IN DURBAN

19:53 - Steyn lands the conversion as the Sharks open up a hand - and match-winning? 23-9 lead as half-time approaches

19:52 - A moment of sheer magic from Sharks No 9 Cobus Reinach as he jinxes his way over the tryline.

Inside, outside and back inside as he leaves the Lions' defence for dead - and looking particularly embarrassed

19:52 - TRY!

19:51 - And the Lions are right back in it as Boshoff converts his third penalty of the night.

Sharks lead 16-9 after 37 minutes

19:48 - Commentator Hugh Bladen all too predictably points out that the Lions will need to be careful of conceding penalties within 55 metres of their tryline...

19:48 - The balls sails between the uprights as the Sharks' lead grows to 16-6 after 34 minutes.

19:48 - HE DOES!

19:47 - Frans Steyn will have a shot at goal from inside his own half.

He'll have the distance for sure, but will he have the direction...

19:44 - The Beaaaast is the next Sharks player to concede a penalty, but nothing comes of it as the Lions then do likewise.

Scrappy stuff from both teams at the moment as the 32nd minutes ticks past...

19:40 - Equally stupid play from Anton Bresler who goes into the ruck with a shoulder and gives away the penalty while the Sharks were on attack.

Naughty, naughty lad taking the law into his own hands...

19:37 - PICTURE

19:37 - Which the burly flyhalf duly does.

Sharks up 13-6 after 24 minutes

19:36 - Silly from the Lions as the concede an extra 10m after giving away a penalty which now gives Steyn the chance to extend the Sharks' lead.

19:33 - And that man Steyn lands a penalty for the home side who move out to a 10-6 lead after 21 minutes

19:32 - For all of you asking, Lambie is out the match with tick bite fever. Frans Steyn has moved to flyhalf with Heimar Williams taking Steyn's place at No 12.

Fred Zeilinga has moved onto the bench (in place of Williams).

Make sense... ?

19:30 - Sharks lead 7-6 after 17 minutes

19:29 - 3 Julian Redelinghuys, 2 Willie Wepener, 1 Schalk van der Merwe OR 3 Jannie du Plessis, 2 Bismarck du Plessis (captain), 1 Tendai Mtawarira

Who would you rather have... ?

19:28 - Crickey, so much for that much-vaunted Sharks front row!

The Lions walk all over them and pick up a penalty - which Boshoff turns into another three points.

19:25 - PICTURE

Young Sharks fans (Gallo Images)

19:24 - Lions fullback Marnitz Boshoff cuts the Sharks lead with a penalty - his 60th point of the tournament.

Time will tell whether moving him to No 15 to accommodate Elton Jantjies at pivot

19:23 - No official crowd attendance figure yet, but for those interested a paltry 11 300 showed up at Loftus Versfeld earlier for the Bulls v Blues match...

19:22 - TWEET

He is blitz,Paul Jordaan, player with lots of flair and skill,if injury stays away he might just be pushing for higher honours!Saaaks 7-0 - Breyton Paulse

19:22 - Touchline commentary Robbie Kempson confirms it's extremely humid in Durban tonight

19:21 - Some impressive ball juggling before gaining control and diving over.

Frans Steyn adds the conversion and the Sharks are out to an early 7-0 lead after 9 minutes

19:20 - The Sharks score the first try of the match through that man Paul Jordaan.

He's having a super season - hint, hint Heyneke Meyer...

19:20 - TRY!

19:18 - The Sharks have dominated the opening 5 minutes. The Lions will need to bring their 'A' game or they could be in for a long afternoon...

19:13 - For those interested, I went for the Sharks by 13 on SuperBru for this match...

19:13 - The Sharks are immediately onto the attack

19:13 - AND WE'RE UNDER WAY IN DURBAN!
