Commentary by Sport24's Garrin Lambley

21:04 - In next weekend's action, the Stormers welcome the Hurricanes to Newlands (Friday, February 28 at 19:10), while the Lions make the journey to Loftus Versfeld to face the winless Bulls (Saturday, March 1 at 17:05)

21:02 - And it's back to the drawing board for the Stormers who were utterly hopeless this evening.

The Lions on the contrary are celebrating consecututive Super Rugby victories - and look to be SA Conference contenders!

21:02 - ***AND THAT'S FULL-TIME IN JOHANNESBURG***

21:01 - Boshoff raises the flags once again as he puts the final nail into the Stormers' coffin

21:00 - The sands of time are seconds away from running out for the Stormers who remain scoreless in the second half

20:56 - QUESTION?

When last did the Lions win consecutive Super Rugby matches?

Answers on a post card - or to mysport@sport24.co.za

20:50 - Can you Adam and Eve it, Boshoff pushes the Lions' score to 31 - and his own personal tally to 26 - with his fifth penalty, to go along with three drop goals and a conversion.

20:49 - Boshoff will have yet another shot at goal after referee Peyper awards the home side another penalty.

Interestingly, no warning for the Stormers - or yellow card...

20:45 - That could be it for the Stormers who have looked woeful at times this evening.

12 minutes for the Stormers to come up with a miracle - and the Lions to survive

20:45 - And with only 14 men on the field, Lions flyhalf Marnitz Boshoff lands his THIRD DROP GOAL of the match!

20:43 - READER REACTION

No you are right. Stormers battle to score tries and I blame it on the coaches! They are absolutely useless and way past their sell by date! Newlands is well known for greatest fan support with mostly full stadiums. Maybe time has come for fans to boycott Newlands so it is felt financially till coach replaced - Jenni

20:39 - READER REACTION

20:38 - And that pretty much sums up the Stormers' evening

I don't agree with Stormers kicking for touch. Could still work for them but not at the moment. - Stefan Terblanche

20:33 - Commendable defence by the Lions, but how long can they hold on for... ?

20:30 - Another YELLOW CARD for the Lions, just as lock Franco Mostert returns to the fray

This time the offender is prop Julian Redelinghuys

20:27 - And they'll be smiling even wider now after Marnitz Boshoff lands his fifth penalty of the match to extend the Lions' lead to 25-10 after 52 minutes.

And remember they are playing with 14 men!

19:51 - Another successful PENALTY by Lions pivot Marnitz Boshoff as he extends the Lions' lead to 22-7 with five minutes remaining in th first half

19:50 - ONE SEASON TOO MANY?

Schalk Burger, much like Victor Matfield, looks a shadow of his former self. One season too far for the former greats?

Let us know at mysport@sport24.co.za

Schalk Burger leaves the field - and it doesn't look like it's for blood

19:30 - The Marnitz Boshoff show continues as he lands another long-distance PENALTY with ease to extend the Lions' lead to 16-0 after 16 minutes!

19:28 - We were promised a 40 000-strong crowd tonight, and although it doesn't appear that many showed up, they are currently in full voice - more so when Stormers No 10 Demetri Catrakilis misses a penalty
