  • 80'

Into overtime as the Crusaders have a scrum on the near side. Heinz bangs it into touch and that is that - the Crusaders are through to the Super Rugby Final. The Sharks have been completely thrashed in Christchurch while the hosts march on.

  • 80'

  • 79'

TRY, CRUSADERS, TODD! 38-6: It''s an utter humbling. The Crusaders pack get their maul rolling and Todd is there for the try! That''s a big statement of intent. Carter can''t convert from the touchline.

  • 76'

Sharks temporarily get the ball away but it's relentless from the home side. Lineout for the Crusaders as they sniff for another gap in the defence. Penalty, Adriaanse the guilty party. Crusaders go into the corner...

  • 74'

Crusaders running out from deep, Taylor thumping the ball deep. Mvovo knocks on under no pressure, another bad moment for the Sharks. It's been painful. Crusaders scrum.

  • 72'

Advantage to the Sharks as they attack from the lineout. Lambie kicks into the corner.

  • 70'

TRY, CRUSADERS, MCNICHOLL! 33-6: Crusaders lucky to not be down to 14 men after Laulala throws a punch. Penalty instead for the Sharks who try to set up a maul. Penalty, tapped quick and then the ball is knocked on. Crusaders kick ahead, Chavanga getting back and kicking high and aimless. Super counter attack with Slade, Dagg and Heinz all involved before McNicholl scores! Carter can't convert.

  • 68'

Replacements being made across the board as the Sharks set up a scrum on the Crusaders' 22. Their best field position so far as the Sharks win a penalty. Flag from the touch judge so play is stopped...

  • 66'

TRY, CRUSADERS, HEINZ! 28-6: Like a thief in the night! Ball comes out the side of the scrum and Heinz is there to scoop up and score. That will be that. Carter converts.

  • 64'

Read and Nadolo are everywhere, dynamic ball runners making the difference. Crusaders lineout isn't straight so the Sharks have a scrum, as Read goes off to a standing ovation.

  • 62'

Latest attack just doesn''t work out for the Crusaders, McNicholl losing possession on the edge of the 22. A reprieve for the Sharks.

  • 61'

Here comes the Crusaders once more, Nadolo sparking an attack. Slade kicks into the corner.

  • 59'

Lambie is nowhere near with that attempt as it fades away to the right. Approaching the final quarter.

  • 58'

Penalty Sharks - will they go for the points or the corner? Lambie wants to chisel down the lead.

  • 56'

Crusaders playing with plenty of width trying to get their wingers into the game. Loose ball and Mvovo hacks it out into touch in desperation. Sharks are creaking.

  • 54'

Carter can't add the penalty, his second consecutive miss. Changes from both sides, Flynn and Ellis off for Funnell and Heinz and Sithole comes on for Marais.

  • 52'

Great box kick from Ellis puts Marais under pressure, coughing up to give the Crusaders a scrum. Carter carries up and Steyn is offside. Long shot for Carter.

  • 50'

Carter is wide with the conversion attempt. 21-6 is remains.

  • 49'

TRY, CRUSADERS, NADOLO. 21-6. Another turnover hands possession to the Crusaders. Ellis jinks around a ruck and finds Carter on his inside. Slade provides the link to Nadolo, who scores!

  • 47'

Crusaders just being snuffed out at the moment when attacking, as the Sharks win a scrum. But they can't keep kicking the ball away.

  • 45'

Sharks' ball security has been very poor. Penalty Crusaders, thumped up into touch. More patient attacking from the hosts who reach the 22, but another breakdown penalty goes the way of the Sharks - Bismarck the man again.

  • 44'

Patient build-up from the Crusaders on the attack. Penalised though, taking the man past the ball at the ruck. Lambie to clear.

  • 42'

More poor kicking from the Sharks gives Dagg all the time in the world to find a handy touch. Knocked on by the Sharks at the lineout... the errors are mounting.

  • 40'

Sharks attempting one of those long snaking mauls and although it doesn't make much ground, they do win a penalty, Flynn the guilty party. Lambie with another chance.

  • 40'

Lambie can''t land his third penalty, so the gap is ten points going into half-time. Even so, the Sharks will be happy to be within ten after such a poor first half in terms of their execution. Next score is massive, don''t go away.

  • 40'

  • 40'

Second half beings from Lambie's boot - can the Sharks recover or will the Crusaders put this one away?

  • 38'

Nadolo tries to take on three or four Sharks and loses it forward, Sharks then winning a breakdown penalty. Lambie finds touch with a poor kick as the Sharks get a final attack.

  • 36'

Helter skelter stuff in Christchurch as the Sharks break out through Lambie but can't finish off the attack despite good hands. Turnover and runs from the Crusaders but Carter's kick just beats Fonotia into touch.

  • 34'

PENALTY, SHARKS, LAMBIE! 16-6: Another chance for the Sharks to get some points as Lambie hammers over another three points from just inside the half. Half-time coming up.

  • 32'

Dagg fails to mark a high kick from Reinach and is then charged down, so the Sharks attack in the 22 for the first time. Super counter-ruck and the ball is cleared by Dagg.

  • 30'

PENALTY, CRUSADERS, CARTER! 16-3: Contest just starting to slip away from the visitors as Carter makes no mistake.

  • 29'

Another kickable penalty for the Crusaders, Reinach offside this time on the edge of the 22. Easy chance for Carter.

  • 27'

PENALTY, CRUSADERS, CARTER! 13-3: Simple kick for Carter and the lead is restored to ten points.

  • 26'

Crusaders scrum with a slight edge early but the Sharks get it away, only to lose the ball forward. Crusaders attack off their scrum and Deysel infringes there, handing Carter a kickable shot at goal.

  • 24'

Promising attack from the Sharks but that ball is lost, before Carter puts it on a penny with a super kick to the corner. Sharks lineout back in their 22 - won and passed wide but Marais is charged down. Knocked on by the Crusaders, Sharks scrum deep near their line.

  • 22'

PENALTY, SHARKS, LAMBIE! 10-3: Fine strike 40 metres out from Lambie to put the visitors on the board.

  • 21'

Lineout from Bismarck goes long but then the Crusaders concede a penalty, Coetzee at the ruck cancelling out Whitelock's steal. Lambie going for goal.

  • 19'

The Sharks kicking game is utterly misfiring, as the latest restart flies out into touch on the full. Kicked towards Marais who is hounded and coughs up the ball. Crusaders charging but Whitelock is off his feet at the ruck. Sharks kick to touch.

  • 17'

TRY, CRUSADERS, READ! 10-0: Mistake from the Sharks as they hash a loose kick into midfield, handing the Crusaders the attack. High tempo stuff in Christchurch and that's the first try! Kieran Read! The IRB Player of the Year does it again, beating Jordaan on the outside and then stepping inside to score.

  • 15'

Blindside burst from Reinach who shows good speed, but he can't find Pietersen and then McCaw is there to win the penalty.

  • 13'

Stolen lineout by the Crusaders who come back on the attack. Brilliant breakout from the Sharks through Marais and Kankowski with ball in hand. Stolen by the hosts but that pass is forward. Sharks scrum.

  • 11'

Dummy runners and an inside ball from Carter to Slade gets the Crusaders on the front foot, but the ball is lost by Slade. Sharks kick deep but back come the Crusaders, Flynn with a burst up the touchline. Grubber from Todd and Marais recovers but is then hit by McCaw. Not releasing, Sharks penalty.

  • 10'

Great work at the breakdown from Coetzee to win a penalty, but then Lambie's kick to touch is way overcooked and rolls dead out the back. Crusaders scrum back in the Sharks half.

  • 8'

High kick from Dagg but he can't regather underneath. Cleared by the Sharks but back come the Crusaders who look good with the ball in hand, Read again making metres. His pass though is knocked on, scrum Sharks.

  • 7'

Error by Bird at the lineout, so it's time for the first scrum. Solid from the Sharks and Steyn kicks deep... too deep. Lineout Crusaders. Ball won but a good counter-ruck from the Sharks turns the ball over and then Reinach clears.

  • 5'

Sharks yet to get their hands on the ball as Todd shows nice hands, releasing Fonotia to halfway. Kicked long and Lambie calls the mark. Crusaders lineout inside the Sharks half.

  • 3'

PENALTY, CRUSADERS, CARTER! 3-0: No mistake from Test rugby's record points scorer. The hosts take the early lead.

  • 2'

Opening attack for the hosts as Read makes good ground, into the 22. Back to the penalty, Lewies and J.du Plessis offside.

  • 0'

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Saturday's first Super Rugby semi-final, as the Crusaders host the Sharks in Christchurch.

  • 0'

The Sharks have named Pat Lambie at 10, with flanker Jean Deysel also starting on Saturday. Lambie's return to the line-up sees Frans Steyn shift to inside centre which means Paul Jordaan wears 13 and JP Pietersen is on the right wing. That's the only change in personnel in the Sharks backline and there is also one up front as Deysel replaces the injured Anton Bresler, with Willem Alberts moving into the second-row position to accommodate Deysel's arrival on the flank.

  • 0'

Richie McCaw has recovered from injury to return to the Crusaders line-up and will play on the blindside flank. That sees Jordan Taufua move to the bench and Luke Whitelock drop out of the matchday squad. Corey Flynn will take the starting hooker spot for his 150th Crusaders game, with Ben Funnell providing back-up from the bench.

  • 0'

A dry night so far in Christchurch as both teams prepare to take the field.

  • 0'

Time to get things underway! Slade bangs the kickoff deep and the Sharks clear through Marais.
