Stormers sweat over Kolisi

Cape Town - The Stormers are sweating over the availability of flank Siya Kolisi ahead of their Super Rugby clash against the Hurricanes in Palmerston North on Friday.

Kolisi was on Wednesday included in the Stormers' starting team but, according to Die Burger, he is struggling with a groin injury and a final decision regarding his availability will be made on Thursday.

"We will know after our captain's practice on Thursday if Siya can play. His groin is a bit sore," said coach Allister Coetzee.

"He didn't train much this week, but I'm optimistic that he'll be fit."

Should Kolisi be unable to play hooker Deon Fourie could wear the No 6 jersey with the other option to promote Nizaam Carr  from the bench.

The Stormers are currently 11th on the Overall Super Rugby log, with three wins and four losses, while the Hurricanes are eighth with five wins and three losses.

Kick-off is at 09:35 (SA time) on Friday.
