Kiwi ref for Newlands clash

Cape Town - New Zealander Chris Pollock will be the referee when the Stormers host the Western Force in a Super Rugby clash at Newlands this Saturday (17:05 kick-off).

Pollock will be assisted by South Africans Marius Jonker and Quinton Immelman, with Shaun Veldsman on television match official (TMO) duty.

There will be two South African referees in action in other matches this weekend, with Jaco Peyper taking charge of the Hurricanes v Highlanders clash on Friday (kick-off 09:35 SA time), and Marius van der Westhuizen taking charge of the Cheetahs v Brumbies clash in Bloemfontein on Saturday (19:10).

Van der Westhuizen will be assisted by Lourens van der Merwe and Francois de Bruin, with Johan Greeff on TMO duty at the Free State Stadium.

Saturday's other matches will be refereed by Rohan Hoffmann (Crusaders v Sharks, 09:35) and Steve Walsh (Reds v Rebels, 11:40).

Sunday's match between the Waratahs and Lions (08:05) will be handled by Nick Briant.
