Kings send SOS to Div

Cape Town - Former Springbok coach Peter de Villiers is set to work on a consultancy basis with the Kings until the completion of this year's Super Rugby competition, it was confirmed on Monday, April 1.

De Villiers, 55, currently in charge of the University of the Western Cape in the Varsity Shield tournament, will start working with the Kings once they return from their Australasian tour.

A reliable source exclusively told the Sport24 website that the former Bok mentor will be used in an assistant coaching role alongside Kings coach Matt Sexton and defence coach Brad Mooar.

The Kings face the Brumbies in Canberra on Friday, April 5 (10:40) and conclude their overseas tour with a match against the Rebels in Melbourne on Saturday, April 13 (11:40).

Please note: Peter de Villiers joining the Kings is an April Fool’s joke. Enjoy the rest of your Monday!
