Kings aiming for Bulls scalp

Port Elizabeth - EP Kings coach Carlos Spencer wants nothing less than a win over the Bulls when the two sides meet in a Super Rugby friendly on Friday.

"Whatever team the Bulls put out, it will be a competitive unit and we are definitely targeting a win to build our confidence for the Currie Cup season," Spencer said ahead of the clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

"We want to build a winning culture here so we go in with the expectation of winning every game."

The Kings made several changes to their starting line-up, to the side which lost 34-12 to Wales last week.

They welcomed skipper Luke Watson, who returned after a long-term injury.

"One of the biggest strengths of this team is the unknown element and mystery surrounding what we are going to bring and the rugby we are going to play," Watson said.

"It's an exciting time, we have a lot of youngsters coming in and with Carlos, who was one of the most exciting rugby players the world has ever seen, heading it up, it's an exciting time to be involved in the Kings."
