Cape Town - Super Rugby log-leaders, the Hurricanes, are holding thumbs a knee injury to flyhalf Beauden Barrett is not too serious.

The 23-year-old injured his knee during the Hurricanes’ 29-23 win over the Crusaders last Saturday.

According to the website, Barrett will undergo scans on Monday to determine the full extent of the injury.

Barrett was moving reasonably well with a brace on his knee at the team's training base two days after being sandwiched in a tackle by the Crusaders’ Luke Whitelock and Colin Slade at Westpac Stadium.

However, he is expected to miss the Hurricanes’ next match against the Sharks regardless of his scan results, and there are indications he could be out for longer.
