Hurricanes blow away Force

Cape Town - The Hurricanes have beaten the Force in their Super Rugby clash in Perth on Friday.

The Hurricanes won 46-19 after leading 22-10 at half-time.

The Hurricanes scored six tries through scrumhalf TJ Perenara (3), fullback Andre Taylor, lock Jason Eaton and wing Charlie Ngatai. Flyhalf Beauden Barrett was successful for two conversions and a penalty. Replacement Dan Kirkpatrick was on target with four conversions and a penalty.

The Force replied with a try by No 8 Matt Hodgson. No 10 James Stannard landed the conversion as well as four penalties.

The Hurricanes picked up a full-house of five points for their victory, and moved to second in the New Zealand Conference standings and third in the Overall log. The Force left empty-handed and remained bottom in the Australian Conference and 14th in the Overall standings.

In next week's Round 4 action, the Hurricanes face the Highlanders in Wellington, while the Force travel to Sydney to face the Waratahs.
