French club eye Deon Fourie

Cape Town - Versatile Stormers forward Deon Fourie could further his career at French club Lyon.

Lyon's 31-13 win over Tarbes at the weekend has gained them promotion to the Top14 and according to Die Burger's website, they are eager to add Fourie to their stocks for next season.

Fourie's agent, Eduard Kelder, confirmed Lyon's interest in the WP and Stormers player. He said the issue would be sorted within the next week and that the Western Province Rugby Union is aware of Lyon's interest.

Fourie, who can play at hooker and flank, almost left WP at the end of 2012 when Toulon showed interested.

However, he opted not to go after captaining WP to Currie Cup glory that year.
