Cape Town - Stormers forwards coach Matthew
Proudfoot says Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth's hunger to constantly improve will
make him a better player.
The 21-year-old - who already boasts 14 Tests - was not happy with
his performance against the Cheetahs last weekend, despite the Stormers dominating in
a 28-3 win.
Proudfoot said he wasn't entirely happy with Etzebeth's work-rate against the
Cheetahs, but is confident his charge will be better against the Kings in Port
Elizabeth on Saturday (17:05 kick-off).
He also lauded Etzebeth for his positive attitude.
"Eben will improve a lot. He is learning to understand his own play more and
sets incredibly high standards of himself," Proudfoot said on Die Burger's website.
"I also felt he could have become more involved in general play against
the Cheetahs, but Eben was very dissatisfied with himself and very downcast
about his own performance.
"(But) with an attitude like that he can only improve," concluded
Proudfoot.
The Stormers will name their team for Saturday's clash at 12:15 on Wednesday.
