Drotské sticks to SARU rule

Bloemfontein - Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské made two changes to his starting lineup for his side's Super Rugby match against the Sharks on Saturday in Bloemfontein.

With SARU regulations stipulating that no Springbok may play more than five consecutive weeks, lock Oupa Mohoje would sit out the Sharks clash and be replaced by Tienie Burger, to earn his first start in Super Rugby.

"We always knew that the SARU regulations with regards to the World Cup later this year would come into play," said Drotské.

"That is why Oupa Mohoje is sitting this one out.

"In his place comes Tienie Burger, who has proven himself coming off the bench and in last year's Currie Cup.

"Later we will start the same process with Springboks like Coenie Oosthuizen and Willie le Roux."

In the only other change to the starting lineup, Johann Sadie comes in at outside centre, with Francois Venter moving to the inside.

Michael van der Spuy was dropped from the squad altogether, with fullback Clayton Blommetjies joining the bench, as well as Springbok flanker Heinrich Brussouw.

"Johann Sadie has proved himself as a replacement.

"He did not get much game time since his return from Japan, but he is ready and comes in at outside centre.

"We moved Francois back inside because I believe he is more calm there, and of greater value."

Flanker Willie Britz was still out with a hamstring injury, but scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius would be back after he withdrew with a similar injury last week.

Boom Prinsloo, was also fit to play.
