Double celebration for Carter

Cape Town - All Black flyhalf Dan Carter has double reason to smile this Easter, with the birth of his first child and his Crusaders team-mates beating the Stormers at Newlands.

Carter and his wife Honor earlier this week announced the birth of a son.

"We're thrilled to announce the birth of our son, Marco James Carter, born 28th March, happy, healthy & handsome," the couple tweeted.

Carter married hockey player Honor Dillon in 2011.

Carter stayed behind in New Zealand while his Crusaders team-mates embarked on their Super Rugby tour to South Africa. They beat the Stormers 19-14 in Cape Town on Saturday night.

Their next match is against the Sharks in Durban on Friday.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
