Double Bok boost for Sharks

Durban - Sharks defence coach Michael Horak is pleased with the fitness levels of returning Springboks Frans Steyn and JP Pietersen.

The Bok duo returned to Durban earlier this week having completed their Japanese club commitments.

Horak told the Sharks' official website that both both are "looking in fantastic physical condition."

Horak confirmed that prop Tendai "Beast" Mtawariria’s rehab has come along nicely, while loose forward Willem Alberts has been training for two and half weeks full steam.

“I think we’re in a fortunate situation,” he said of the squad depth and players returning to active duty. “The conditioning and rehab staff have done a fantastic job so we should be able to select a strong line-up for this weekend.”

In some bad news, flank Jean Deysel suffered an injury to the lower part of his leg and may not be available for selection this weekend against the Stormers at Newlands (19:10 kick-off).
