Cape Town - Bulls captain Flip van der Merwe will hear his fate later this week after being cited for foul play in their Super Rugby clash against the Waratahs at the weekend.
Following initial consideration by the SANZAR duty judicial officer, Jannie Lubbe, Van der Merwe has been ordered to appear at a SANZAR judicial hearing.
Van der Merwe is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (a) - Punching or striking during the match at Allianz Stadium last Saturday.
The Waratahs won 19-12.
Adam Casselden will be the judicial officer for the hearing which will be held by video conference on Wednesday (08:00 SA time).
The Bulls face the Western Force in Perth on Saturday (kick-off 11:40 SA time).
