Daniel banned for two weeks

Cape Town - Sharks flank Keegan Daniel has been suspended for two weeks after being found guilty of foul play by a SANZAR judicial hearing on Monday.

The suspension is effective until 21 May. The Sharks have a bye this weekend, which means Daniel will miss one match, against the Bulls.

Daniel had been cited for a late and dangerous tackle on Brumbies centre Christian Lealiifano during a Super Rugby match in Durban last Saturday.

The hearing was chaired by SANZAR judicial officer, Jannie Lubbe and was held at the Kwa-Zulu Natal Rugby Union offices in Durban.
