Cape Town - SANZAR duty judicial officer Nicholas Davidson QC has accepted a guilty plea from Crusaders hooker Ben Funnell for committing a dangerous tackle on Bulls forward Grant Hattingh during their Super Rugby clash on Saturday.
Funnell was cited after he made contact with Hattingh at a breakdown during the 60th minute of the match at AMI Stadium in Christchurch.
Funnell has subsequently been suspended from all forms of the game for one week
until March 23, which means he will miss their home game against the Kings next week.
The Crusaders thumped the Bulls 41-19 on Saturday.
