Cape Town - The Cheetahs have secured the services of Tuks captain Reniel Hugo.

According to Netwerk24, the 24-year-old lock has signed a deal which will keep him in Bloemfontein until the end of the 2016 season.

Hugo represented Tuks for the past two years after joining from Maties.

He was earlier this week also named as captain of the Varsity Cup Dream Team to play against the Junior Boks in Stellenbosch later this month.

Hugo, who previously also represented Western Province and the Blue Bulls in the Vodacom Cup, is the son of former WP and Springbok lock, Niel.

Hugo will join the Cheetahs after leading the Varsity Cup team against the Baby Boks on April 21.
