Cheetahs lose Daniller to Zebre

Bloemfontein - Cheetahs full-back Hennie Daniller will join Italian club Zebre after the Super 15 season, the South African Super Rugby franchise have said on Monday.

The Bloemfontein team have no chance of reaching the play-offs and their final league fixture is away to the Lions on July 12 in Johannesburg.

Uncapped Daniller joins a rapidly expanding group of South African rugby players lured to Europe and Japan by much bigger salaries than they earn at home.

His team-mates at Zebre in northern Italian city Parma will include former Cheetahs lock Andries Ferreira.

A dependable rather than outstanding full-back, Daniller was at the Bulls and second-tier Boland Cavaliers before joining Cheetahs six years ago.
