Cheetahs add more flair

Cape Town - The Cheetahs have added another exciting backline player to their stocks after securing the services of Pumas fullback Coenie van Wyk.

The 26-year-old, who represented the Lions with aplomb in this year's Super Rugby competition, will join the Cheetahs after this year's Currie Cup.

According to Volksblad, Van Wyk will join the Cheetahs on a two-year deal.

The skilful Van Wyk will form part of an exciting backline for the Cheetahs in next year's Super Rugby competition.

Kings wing Sergeal Petersen's services has been secured for next season, while the Blue Bulls' Clayton Blommetjies will already join them in this year's Currie Cup.

Springboks Willie le Roux, Cornal Hendricks and Raymond Rhule are contracted for the next few seasons, while former Stormers backline star Joe Pietersen will also join from next season as a replacement for the departing Johan Goosen.
