Cheeky gets 17:00 kick-off

Johannesburg - The second leg of the Super Rugby promotion/relegation playoff match between the Lions and the Kings, at Ellis Park on Saturday, will start at 17:00 and not 15:00 as initially scheduled.

"Cheeky Watson (president) of the Kings requested that the match be played at 5pm and SARU has accepted this request, so we will no longer play at 3pm," Golden Lions media manager Tarryn Steenekamp said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Lions won the first leg 26-19 last week in Port Elizabeth.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
