Cape Town - Kings flyhalf, Demetri Catrakilis has revealed that he learnt one of rugby's tougher lessons when taking part in training in preparation for Saturday's Super Rugby clash with the Cheetahs in Port Elizabeth.
Catrakilis, who is one of 38 players called up to Heyneke Meyer's Springbok training squad, may have been forgiven for thinking he will be treated like a King himself when he rocked up for training on Thursday.
However, thanks to a training ground incident which may have gone wrong, the Kings pivot lost a tooth, which was found later by fellow Kings team-mate, Daniel Adongo.
"(sic) If you play rugby please wear a gum guard during training... Learned the hard way today. Thanks for finding my tooth @DanielAdongo7," Catrakilis tweeted.
Catrakilis will surely be hoping that the incident will not repeat itself when he joins the Springbok training squad at the beginning of June.
