Cape Town - The Stormers have no intention of playing Schalk Burger at No 8 - a position Bok coach Heyneke Meyer would like to see him play in future.
Burger started at No 7 for the Boks against Scotland in Port Elizabeth at the weekend, but Meyer recently said he sees Burger's future at No 8.
Burger did finish the last 13 minutes of the Test at the back of the scrum, but is likely to remain at flank when the Stormers tackle the Bulls at Newlands this weekend.
Stormers coach Allister Coetzee told the Cape Timeshe has not heard from the Bok coach yet about a possible change in position for Burger.
Coetzee said he will shortly have a chat with Meyer about how they are going to manage the return of Eben Etzebeth, Jean de Villiers and Damian de Allende.
But at the moment his plans are clear: if Duane Vermeulen gets injured, then Nizaam Carr will play No 8, with Burger remaining at flank.
Saturday's derby at Newlands kicks off at 17:05.
