Mayb Schalk should just retire. How do you come back after being out with an injury for a year and then walk back into the team as captain? How did they decide that he would be captain if they werent even sure he was going to play? If he does come back he should fight for his place......................Stormers For Life.

      orlando.sadie - 2013-02-18 15:39

It might be a team decision BB. I preferred jean as captain and scalla as VC. Scalla do pick himself if fit but the way kolisi played last year I think they must stick with him at 6 and move scalla to no .7

      BlouMasjien1 - 2013-02-18 16:27

Bekker, just love to walk in the park............to the park bench

      john.comyn.18 - 2013-02-18 16:27

No point in risking Schalk. This is a strong team good enough to beat any side in the S15 if they play well. What is laughable are the people who write Schalk off.

      toruk.makto.1675 - 2013-02-18 16:30

Isak you say it will be a walk in tyhe park for the capetonians. What about the other 80% of the stormers players?

      BulletjieBulBul - 2013-02-18 17:01

      she.is.here.777 - 2013-02-18 17:42

      Oops dis Vrydag hoor..

      Friday you knob

      bootman.bokke - 2013-02-18 18:05

Ou Bulletjie the Bulls will have to go for a walk in the park on Saturday after the Stormers kicked their asses on Friday.

Retirement is just around the corner... pity..

      nyiko.ralapelle - 2013-02-18 15:36

not much of a pity. pretty useless for most of his career, except for eye gouging and table throwing

  • earle.s.cloete - 2013-02-18 15:32

Ai Schalk, looks like age is catching up with you. At least Kolisi will get enough game time.

  • desmond.joshua2 - 2013-02-18 15:33

with Schalk in the team,we tend to lose games for no reason.Leave him out of the side,he is las, babbelas.

      nyiko.ralapelle - 2013-02-18 15:38

that final against the bulls he lost his head and relaly looked like a fish out of water. since then he has been pretty much the most useless player on the field and in fact the stormers look better without him. but please make him your captain because then i get to see a close game with the kings. crocked4life

  • bootman.bokke - 2013-02-18 15:38

Other than our centre pairing being rubbish, the team looks pretty solid. Ladys in Tshwane get your make-up ready to cover your shiners. Your husbands are coming home from Loftus in a foul mood.

      prot.kpax.33 - 2013-02-18 15:50

If you take the two centre's out there's almost more lions players then stompies players, I wouldn't get to excited if I were you, their union got kicked out of super rugby for a reason. But best of luck to your team, let's hope the best team wins( and that's the bulls)

      bootman.bokke - 2013-02-18 16:02

      Errrr............ok.

      BlouMasjien1 - 2013-02-18 16:23

i totally understand your concern for the centre pairing ,going up against Wynand "The Widowmaker" those two must be petrified.

      toruk.makto.1675 - 2013-02-18 16:27

Bootman it's not hard to see you dont know anything about rugby. Jean is one of he best centres in world rugby.

      BulletjieBulBul - 2013-02-18 17:04

Toruk... maybe in 1675 like your name suggest yes! In modern day rugby... NOOOOOOOOO!

Good team but its not what I had in mind or rather what I thought coetsee would have in mind. The front row I looking good, I love the faith he has shown in steenkamp, the back row is fine, we have 2 exciting half backs, a solid fullback and 2 experienced wings. My problem is with the centres, I rate Damian nd he did very well last year. I do believe though that when a number 13 is injured bring in another number 13. Jean is experienced yes but playing him at 13 is asking him to play his rugby in the dark, he has lost the pace nd misses crucial tackles SOMETIMES. What happened to young JP Duplessis? 12.Jean 13. JP exciting rugby all the way

      toruk.makto.1675 - 2013-02-18 16:17

Damian De Allende reminds me of Nakelavuki.

      chumani.ngcokovane - 2013-02-18 16:25

In a positive or negative way?

      toruk.makto.1675 - 2013-02-18 16:35

What do you mean by "positive"?
