Boshoff dropped for Jantjies

Cape Town - Lions flyhalf Marnitz Boshoff has been dropped at the expense of Elton Jantjies for their Super Rugby clash against the Chiefs in Hamilton on Saturday.

In other changes to the backline, Faf de Klerk returns at scrumhalf in place of Ross Cronjé, while Deon van Rensburg also returns at right wing, having recovered from his minor leg injury.

Up front, Warren Whiteley returns to captain the side having made a full recovery from injury. Derick Minnie was the captain in their last game - a 18-3 loss to the Stormers at Newlands on April 19.

On the bench, Armand van der Merwe looks set to make his Super Rugby debut should he get a run on Saturday.

Jacques van Rooyen will also provide cover off the bench, having been called up from the Vodacom Cup squad.

The match will kick off at 09:35 (SA time).
