Cape Town - Springbok wing Cornal Hendricks has extended his contract with the Cheetahs for another year.
According to Volksblad, Western Province and the Blue Bulls were interested in signing the 26-year-old speedster but he decided to stay in Bloemfontein.
His contract is due to expire at the end of October, but has now been extended by another year.
Hendricks, a former Springbok Sevens star, joined the Cheetahs last year in the hope of also making his national debut in the 15-man code.
He realised his dream when he played for the Springboks against the World XV, Wales and Scotland last month.
Meanwhile, the Cheetahs also confirmed the signing of loose forward Willie Britz from the Lions. He will join them at the end of the season until 2016.
