Bok lock Lood says no to France

Cape Town - The Cheetahs’ Springbok lock Lood de Jager has opted to stay in Bloemfontein despite lucrative offers elsewhere.

According to Netwerk24, several teams were after the 22-year-old’s services, but he opted to stay at Free State for at least another year.

French giants Toulon were believed to be after De Jager’s services, as well as other local South African teams.

With De Jager recently signing a two-year Springbok contract with the SA Rugby Union, the Cheetahs were able to retain his services.

The 2.05m giant played nine Tests for the Boks in 2014.
