    Bismarck one lucky hooker - fans

    Cape Town - Bismarck du Plessis can count himself one lucky hooker after receiving only a four-week ban for kicking out at an opponent, say Sport24 readers.

    Known serial offender, Du Plessis was shown a straight red for kicking Chiefs No 8 Michael Leitch in the head in the 18th minute of their Vodacom Super Rugby match in Durban on Saturday.

    At Sunday's judicial hearing, Du Plessis - no stranger to such hearings - was handed a ban up until and including April 18, 2015.

    Du Plessis will miss matches against the Force, Crusaders, Lions and Bulls.

    When asked on the Sport24 website on Monday: "Sharks skipper Bismarck du Plessis was handed a four-match ban for kicking an opponent. How do you view the punishment?" this was the response:

    65% - For a known serial offender he can count himself VERY lucky!

    32% - Fair decision

    3% - He was hard done by
