'Akker' starts at hooker for Lions
Cape Town - Lions coach Johan Ackermann has named his team to tackle the Cheetahs in a Super Rugby clash in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Ackermann has made three changes to his side from the one that beat the Sharks 23-21 on April 11.
Up front, Armand 'Akker' van der Merwe rotates with Robbie Coetzee at hooker, while Ruan Dreyer comes in at tighthead prop, with Julian Redelinghuys dropping to the bench.
The only change among the backs sees Courtnall Skosan starting on the left wing in place of Mark Richards after recovering from injury.
On the bench, MB Lusaseni comes in for Derick Minnie, who has suffered a major knee injury and will be sidelined for the rest of the year.
Ross Cronje is also back in the squad as the reserve scrumhalf, replacing Lohan Jabobs.
Kick-off for Saturday's clash at Emirates Airline Park is scheduled for 17:05.
