Cape Town - After the first week's action in Super Rugby, there are already three injury worries to three key Springboks.

As it happened: Sharks 29-35 Cheetahs

In Saturday's game at Kings Park in Durban, lock Lood de Jager (Cheetahs) and prop Tendai Mtawarira (Sharks) left the field with what looked like serious injuries.

De Jager suffered a suspected broken elbow and according to Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske, could be sidelined for up to two months, while Mtawarira tore his calf muscle and there are fears he could miss the entire Super Rugby season.

The Sharks also suffered a blow before the match when captain Bismarck du Plessis had to withdraw with a shoulder injury.

More about all three players' injuries will be known in the next few days.
