Cape Town - The three referees for the semi-finals and final of the Super 14 have been announced.
South Africa's Jonathan Kaplan, the most experienced Test referee in the world, will blow the whistle in the final on the May 30.
Bryce Lawrence of New Zealand and Stuart Dickinson of Australia will be in charge of the two semi-finals the previous weekend.
If a semi-final is hosted in South Africa, Lawrence will in all likelihood be asked to officiate in that game.
André Watson, Manager of Referees at the South African Rugby Union, said: “These appointments were done on merit and irrespective of the nationality of the referee or the teams involved in the playoffs. A decision on the assistant referees will be taken as soon as the permutations are known and will be announced on Monday.”
