Giteau blow for Brumbies

Perth - Matt Giteau has been ruled out of the Brumbies team for his return match against the Western Force at Members Equity Stadium on Friday.

Kick-off is at 13:05 SA time.

Giteau has battled a quad strain for the past fortnight and was rated a 50/50 chance of playing against his old team.

Matt Toomua, who enjoyed a stint with Western Province in the latter stages of the Currie Cup, will take Giteau's place at flyhalf where he'll combine with Christian Lealiifano at inside centre.
