GLRU sorry over parking chaos

Johannesburg - The Golden Lions Rugby Union (GLRU) and Stadium Management have apologised to fans regarding all the parking problems in the opening rounds of the Super 14.

The Lions opened their 2010 Super 14 campaign last Saturday against the Stormers and hosted the Chiefs on Friday night.

Ellis Park World of Sport CEO Paul Appalsamy said, "We are taking these complaints very seriously and would like to apologise to our supporters.

"We are dealing with each complaint individually and are striving to address all the issues.

"To ensure that the problems experienced are addressed, we will ensure better parking and access control, visible monitoring and supervision of the parking entrances, and enhanced vigilance by stewards and safety officers at all entry points.

There were several complaints regarding the number of parking bays available for supporters after more tickets were sold than the number of parking bays available.
